Television and the Impact on Children Have you forever wondered how telly affects your children? Theaverage child watches television 2 hours per week and most of this exhibit is of craze or sexual acts. During the whole episode you see the Rangers kicking,punching and attacking the bad guys. separate shows like X-men, Sailor Moon,Looney Tones, and even Care Bears show violence towards others. Its no wonderchildren think its okay to act this way when even their Super Heroes who aresupposed to be the good guys are annoyance others. They see the good guys doingthese things and think its appropriate. Ive notice even with my own full cousin that when he has finished watchingan episode of Power Rangers he tends to get aggressive and hyper-active. Hecopies t he exact same moves that the Power Rangers use. Its almost like hebelieves he is one of them. He believes that when he punches people or kicksthem that it doesnt hurt because thats what he sees on t.v. Its not like yousee the characters ever show any pain. Even when he plays with his friends theypretend that they are Power Rangers vs. the bad guys and fight each other. Showslike this even have the use of guns, which I dont believe in.
